Michelle Huizinga is a multi-media sculptor based in West Auckland. Her affinity with the Waitakere Ranges is reflected in much of her ceramic work; capturing the beauty of nature and celebrating it in its raw form through porcelain slip casting. Huizinga has a passion for using fibres and textiles in her work which has led her to explore the art of marrying rope and stone through her woven vessels.
